David E. Schwartz Appointed Judge in DuPage County

On September 26, 2018, Chief Circuit Judge Daniel P. Guerin announced that David E. Schwartz, J.D., a partner at Schwartz Jambois, has been appointed to the position of Associate Judge of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court, DuPage County, Illinois. Schwartz fills the vacancy created by the resignation of John W. Demling.

Of Mr. Schwartz’s appointment, Appellate Court Justice Terrence Lavin said, “Dave Schwartz has the right combination of brains, heart and judgment that one wants to see in a judge. I’m confident that his new colleagues will enjoy his professional presence on the DuPage County bench.”

Kristin Barnette McCarthy to be Inducted as Incoming WBAI President

Kristin Barnette McCarthy will be inducted as the incoming WBAI President on June 8, 2017 at the Palmer House Hilton. The WBAI annual dinner is one of the most well-attended events in the Chicago legal community, drawing over 800 lawyers, judges and dignitaries. In addition to Ms. Barnette McCarthy installed as its incoming president, the Officers and Directors for 2017-18 will also be sworn into the WBAI.

Craig Mannarino and Amanda Brasfield Obtain $19.2M Verdict

A Cook County Jury awarded the plaintiff represented by Craig Mannarino and Amanda Brasfield $19.2M in a medical malpractice wrongful death case for the death of a couple’s first child, who died from birth injuries related to meconium aspiration syndrome.
